Happy Monday!
Put a lid on that cup, because we’re starting today’s Brew by dancing.
The Trump Dance
On Saturday night, President-Elect Donald Trump and his new political posse of Elon Musk, RFK Jr., and Tulsi Gabbard attended the UFC event at Madison Square Garden. Billy Joel doesn’t get a roar like the one Trump got when introduced to the crowd.
The night featured what is becoming a hot trend: the Trump Dance — the little hip wiggle during “YMCA” that has been his standard feature at the close of his rallies on the campaign trail.
UFC heavyweight champ Jon “Bones” Jones broke into the dance after he knocked out Stipe Miocic.
Trump himself got into the act.

Last Sunday, Trump-supporting San Francisco 49ers star Nick Bosa broke out the dance after a sack.

The Trump Dance has even gone international.

And, of course, it’s become a social media fad, with even Sky News Australia reporting on it.
But is it a dance or the move you make when trying to squeeze into an airplane seat? Maybe a little of both.
A suggestion for the Trump Inauguration Committee: Check out the Guinness Book of World Records for group dances. For example, the record for doing the hora is 13,828 people; the record for doing the Indian Bihu dance is 11,298 participants. The record for the hustle is 444 (but you had to be in costume.) It seems like an organized Trump Dance during the inauguration festivities would put any of those records to shame.
But for now, let’s talk about real shame.
The Brazen Effort to Steal the U.S. Senate Race in Pennsylvania
Democrats are trying to steal the Senate race in Pennsylvania, and they’re not even trying to hide it. Bucks County is even boasting about it. Several Democratic-run counties are illegally counting ballots that the state Supreme Court has already said they cannot count. The county commissioners in Bucks admit they are defying the court by counting ineligible ballots.
“I think we all know that precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country,” Bucks County Commissioner Diane Ellis-Marseglia said Thursday. “People violate laws anytime they want. So, for me, if I violate this law, it’s because I want a court to pay attention. There’s nothing more important than counting votes.”
Tell us again who’s the threat to democracy?
The Republican National Committee has filed four lawsuits already to try to stop the steal, with the Pennsylvania State Department telling these law-snubbing counties to segregate the illegal ballots pending future court rulings.
Senator-Elect Dave McCormick has a current lead of 26,000 votes over the shameful incumbent Bob Casey, who has refused to concede the race — tarnishing the respected legacy of his father, William Casey. The open pushing of illegal ballots into the count, to say nothing of whatever ballots are being snuck in as the counting drags out, has shrunk McCormick’s margin down so far that an automatic recount has already been triggered by the time county officials declare it “done.”
How brazen and unethical is the Democratic theft operation? Even the Washington Post is slamming Pennsylvania for it in an editorial titled “Democrats Thumb Their Nose at the Rule of Law in Pennsylvania”: “The mere attempt to defy judicial rulings is corrosive to democracy and invites similar behavior in future elections.”
And where is Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro in all this? He hasn’t lifted a finger. This is not surprising. Shapiro was attorney general in 2020, and before the election he guaranteed that Joe Biden would win the state no matter what the counts looked like on Election Night. (Hello, 3 a.m. ballot dumps.)
When Shapiro runs for president in 2028, let not a day go by without voters being reminded of his disgraceful facilitation of these events.
Trump Names 27-Year-Old Karoline Leavitt as White House Press Secretary
Trump campaign and transition spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt will be our new White House press secretary — the youngest in history to hold that position. The sharp-tongued Leavitt is all of 27 years old.
How young is that? She was born just one week before the death of Princess Diana.
To her, music from the 1990s would be “golden oldies.”
In fact, she’s almost young enough to date Leonardo DiCaprio.
As the Pentagon Turns …
The Trump transition is drawing up a list of current and former military officers who were directly involved in the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal to determine whether any deserve to be court-martialed, NBC News reports. They’re considering setting up a commission to study the deadly debacle. According to NBC’s sources, the possibility of charging some officials with treason is not off the table.
Will anybody really be charged with treason, or is the Trump team simply signaling that they’re not going to be messing around after Inauguration Day?
The incoming administration is also reportedly set to line up a group of top-notch retired generals to sort through the upper ranks of military leadership to weed out the woke, DEI, and otherwise incompetent brass.
Another issue Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth will face: The Pentagon’s wayward budget. According to the Government Accounting Office, the Pentagon has failed its financial audit for the seventh straight year. In fact, the Department of Defense cannot account for 60% of its $4.1 trillion in assets.
The Pentagon didn’t even try to make an accounting for itself. (No pun intended, but gladly welcomed.) The Hill reports the DoD earned a “disclaimer of opinion,” meaning it failed to provide sufficient information to auditors to form an accurate assessment.
But they did have time to host drag queen events on air bases.
Hegseth Responds to Hysterical “White Supremacist” Claims About His Cross Tattoo
Meanwhile, Hegseth has punched back against the slanderous claim that he is a white supremacist based on a couple of his tattoos. He sports the centuries-old Jerusalem Cross and the Latin phrase “Deus Vult,” meaning “God wills it.” Hegseth slammed his desperate critics for their “anti-Christian bigotry.”
Keep in mind, the defeated Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris wanted to keep a judicial nominee off the bench because he was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Are We Heading Toward a Peace Deal in Ukraine?
We touched on this last week, and we’ve seen more evidence recently: A peace deal seems to be on the way. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy flat-out told Ukraine’s Suspiline public broadcasting service Trump will end the nation’s hostilities with Russia faster.
“The war will end, but there is no exact date,” he said. “Of course, with the policy of this team, which will now lead the White House, the war will end sooner.”
In his first call in two years with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Russian President Vladimir Putin reaffirmed his openness toward a political and diplomatic settlement. Scholz was also on the horn with Trump after 47’s election. victory. According to a spokesman, the two discussed working together “toward a return to peace in Europe.”
Stuck in the Back Corner: The World Is Moving on From Joe Biden
Officially, Joe Biden is still U.S. president for the next two months. But we can already forget about him being the “leader of the free world.” This weekend, he was in South America for the Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.
For the group photo, Chinese Premier Xi Jinping was front and center. Joe Biden? Shoved in a corner on the back row.
