A Minneapolis 911 supervisor has been placed on leave, multiple sources tell Alpha News.

Although the city would not confirm, sources say the supervisor, Paul Freimuth, had been assisting anti-ICE protesters while on duty.

“It’s unbelievable how many people dispatch is hiring that truly despise law enforcement,” one source said of the situation.

The city said in a statement that state law prevents it from commenting on whether or not an employee has been placed on leave.

“[W]e must also clarify that the City is unable to confirm or respond regarding the nature of any allegations against this employee,” the statement added.

Meanwhile, concerns have also been raised about a city payroll supervisor’s social media posts.

In one post, Betsy Soderlund posted a photo of herself wearing a mask that said, “This was preventable,” along with a caption of, “Once again taking to the streets because someone was murdered by a government thug, this time with a gun.”

Soderlund appears to have deleted or made private some of her social media profiles after Alpha News posted about her comments. Multiple sources say that Soderlund handles police payroll and has access to officers’ personal information.

In her post, Soderlund was referring to the death of Alex Pretti, a Minnesotan who was shot and killed by federal agents on Jan. 24 in Minneapolis during the Trump administration’s Operation Metro Surge. Another Minnesotan, Renee Good, was killed by an ICE agent on Jan. 7

The operation consisted of a surge of federal law enforcement who were sent to Minnesota to carry out immigration enforcement. It faced intense resistance from city and state leaders, some of whom actively participated in “ICE watch” networks.

The city of Minneapolis also declined to comment on Soderlund.
