Antifa-Linked Anarchist Group CrimethInc Promotes ‘Steal Something from Work Day,’ Urges Nurses to Steal Medical Supplies ‘to Save Lives’ and Equip Anti-ICE Agitators | The Gateway Pundit

CrimethInc., an extremely far-left decentralized Antifa anarchist collective, has launched its annual “Steal Something from Work Day” campaign with a new article openly encouraging workplace theft, and a special focus on nurses pocketing medical supplies to support “community defense” against federal immigration enforcement.

The April 15 post titled “Steal Something from Work Day 2026: Why Nurses Steal to Save Lives” frames employee theft as a “moderate option” in response to what the group calls intensified capitalist exploitation under the second Trump administration.

The article contrasts everyday workplace theft with more extreme tactics such as warehouse burnings and direct attacks on employers.

CrimethInc. has promoted the event for more than a decade, designating April 15, traditionally Tax Day, as a worldwide day of symbolic resistance.

The group maintains a dedicated site at stealfromwork.crimethinc.com and has made posters, pamphlets, and annual articles encouraging workers to “steal something from work” as a form of covert protest and wealth redistribution.

In the 2026 edition, the collective presents anonymous testimonies from two nurses who describe routinely taking medical supplies from hospitals.

One nurse in Minnesota explains using stolen items, including speculums, gauze, alcohol swabs, and other supplies, to build “medic packs” for protesters confronting ICE operations in the Twin Cities.

The nurse justifies the theft as “harm reduction” and “community defense,” referencing the deaths of anti-ICE agitators Renee Good and Alex Pretti as they attempted to impede immigration enforcement operations.

The nurse wrote:

“I liberate out of love, I expropriate in the name of harm reduction, I ‘steal’ in the name of all of the people killed by the state of so-called Minnesota. I take in hope that these medical items can help to save or ease the lives of community members, so we don’t have to experience once again the trauma we experienced when we lost Alex, Nicole, Amir Locke, Winston Boogie Smith, Philando Castile, George Floyd, and too many others. Death at the hands of the state is so pervasive and the price of medical supplies is just too damn high.”

The article divides nurse theft into four categories: medical supplies for community support, household items for personal or mutual-aid use, worker solidarity actions (such as sharing medications or covering shifts), and “stealing for patients” by providing extra or uncharged supplies.

It criticizes hospital executives for high salaries while nurses face low wages and workplace violence, citing examples such as saline bags costing pennies to produce but billed at hundreds of dollars.

CrimethInc. also endorses “time theft,” extending breaks or clocking out late, as long as it does not interfere with direct patient care, writing:

“When it comes to being good, don’t be afraid to be bad.”

The piece claims that “good people” can do harm through compliance with the system, while “bad” actions like theft can save lives by countering corporate greed. It repeatedly ties the campaign to broader anarchist organizing against ICE in Minnesota.

Workplace theft remains a criminal offense under state and federal law, regardless of political framing.

In September, President Donald Trump signed an executive order designating Antifa as a “domestic terrorist organization.”

The order described Antifa as “a militarist, anarchist enterprise that explicitly calls for the overthrow of the United States Government, law enforcement authorities, and our system of law” and stated that its pattern of political violence justified the designation.
