Peter Demos hosts an urgent conversation with Greg Schaller, director of the Centennial Institute at Colorado Christian University, about Colorado’s newly signed Kelly Loving Act. Positioned as a bill to show compassion to transgender individuals, the act actually threatens parental rights, religious liberty, and free speech.

Despite having “loving” in its name, the legislation enables Colorado to undermine parental authority over minors’ gender-identity decisions, with the potential consequence of removing kids from their parents custody while also penalizing churches and schools that refuse to comply with gender ideology “affirmation.” From redefining “coercive control” to enforcing coerced speech, Schaller warns that the Kelly Loving Act is is just the beginning — and that bills like this could soon spread beyond Colorado.
