The Brew: CBS News Tags Along as German Secret Police Terrorize Citizens for Social Media Posts

You don’t really expect major media to come out for aggressive censorship. I mean, at least not openly. During the COVID panic and the public health dictatorship it enabled through most of the world, reporters would rant about “misinformation” and pretend that Donald Trump was telling people to “inject bleach.” They’d call ivermectin — the safe and effective antiviral medication invented for humans — “horse dewormer.” They’d accuse Gov. Ron Desantis of committing “mass murder” by reopening Florida’s beaches, while covering up the Blue State Nursing Home Genocide that saw thousands of veterans and grandmas willfully infected by governors calling for COVID patients to be dumped alongside them.

But Trump Derangement Syndrome had not advanced quite far enough to cause irreparable brain damage and get media figures to openly praise censorship in principle, for its own sake. For that, it took Trump’s third electoral victory, which this time the Deep State couldn’t manage to steal. And it took Vice President J.D. Vance reducing German politicians to tears by reminding them that the U.S. won’t fight for or fund woke dictatorships that suppress their citizens’ speech.

WAR – This is the Chairman of the Munich Security Council CRYING!.

“After Vice President Vance’s speech on Friday we must conclude our common values are not so common anymore.”

And then he burst into tears.

Of course some in Europe applauded. But Americans weren’t impressed. They were even less won over when CBS’s Margaret Brennan told Marco Rubio that the Holocaust happened because of … drumroll please … too much free speech in Germany:

“He was standing in a country where free speech was weaponized to conduct a genocide” is almost a scripted line that CBS producers set up and thought would be a slam dunk. The problem for them is that they’re too stupid to know better–and Rubio is too smart to let it slide. https://t.co/lL3RfgRgNy

But like the Gadarene swine enjoying their first taste of water and diving headfirst in for more, CBS kept doubling down. It’s really, really important to dying legacy media that they get their competition censored and cancelled, as well as protect their de facto subsidies from USAID. Here 60 Minutes offered a softball interview to German censorship officials, who explained why free speech is dangerous and cannot be permitted on sacred German soil:

CBS News is openly attacking free speech. Their Sunday morning host absurdly claimed free speech led to the Holocaust, and 60 Minutes praised Germany’s criminalization of speech. This isn’t journalism–it’s propaganda for authoritarianism.

Then CBS decided to go whole-hog and plunge to the bottom of the sea by tagging along with German police raiding a citizen’s home for his social media posts:

Presumably, CBS officials think that such shameless advocacy tarted up in bad drag as journalism will win Americans over. It’s a bold strategy. Let’s see if it pays off for them.

What did these people think they were worshiping, apart from themselves? Which all-too-real dark spirits were actually present at that service, snickering at these lost souls? The next time a “progressive” Christian friend rebukes you for standing firm on biblical principles, take the time to share this video with him. Ask him what he thinks. And if he defends this pulpit abuse, maybe reconsider the basis of your friendship.

We need more leaders like DeSantis. Happily, the triumph of Donald Trump’s movement is making the Republican Party a friendlier place for them, as the RINOs of the War Party toddle off to Ukraine to offer pedicures to its president, ex-pornographic comedian Volodmyr Zelensky.
