People Over Profits: End Big Pharma’s Vaccine Immunity

The eyes of many Americans were opened to Big Pharma’s abuses during the COVID-19 pandemic. But what many still don’t realize is that the pharmaceutical companies face no accountability for their vaccines — even when these vaccines cause injury or death.

Pharmaceutical companies faced major civil lawsuits in the 1980s over vaccine injuries, and instead of making “safer” vaccines or removing questionable ones from the market, they lobbied Congress to give them blanket immunity. Thus, President Ronald Reagan signed the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 into law. The Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act of 2005 further solidified Big Pharma’s immunity protection for vaccines. To add insult to injury, the Biden administration’s Health and Human Services (HHS) Department just extended COVID liability immunity for certain individuals and health care entities thorough 2029 under the PREP Act.

More than 2.6 million vaccine adverse events have been reported since 1990. Why are the very manufacturers of the vaccines causing injury and death not held accountable for this grave harm? Why would the federal government give total immunity to an industry profiting off a product referred to as “unavoidably unsafe”?

Or maybe the better question to ask is: Which industry donates unprecedented sums of money to Congress and has blanket immunity for a certain product mandated by the government?

The answer: Big Pharma.

Legal Loopholes for Billionaires, at Your Expense

While Big Pharma is liable for a drug or device that causes injury or death, labeling something a “vaccine” gives them legal immunity, no matter how harmful the product might be for some individuals. The dictionary changed the definition of “vaccine” in 2021 from providing “immunity” to providing “protection,” and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) even tweaked the definition, though they claim it didn’t alter the meaning of the word. Talk about moving the goalposts!

During the COVID pandemic, the development and manufacture of the so-called COVID “vaccine” was expedited under Operation Warp Speed and hit the market in December 2020, less than a year after the first official coronavirus case was found in the U.S.

In the months and years that followed, some 270 million Americans, 81% of the population, received at least one dose of the COVID shot. Though some willingly complied, many were pressured or forced to receive the experimental injection that has since been proven largely ineffective, harmful, and even fatal in some cases.

Unsafe Jabs

A staggering 1.6 million COVID adverse events, including 38,264 deaths and 219,594 hospitalizations, had been reported as of December 2024, according to data compiled from the CDC Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). A Harvard Pilgrim study completed in 2010 concluded that fewer than 1% of all vaccine adverse events are reported. Many health care providers fail to report — or are unwilling to report — side effects as vaccine adverse events. 

Families who lost loved ones to a vaccine will never be the same again, yet Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson will answer to no one because of the legal immunity they have enjoyed since 1986.

Vaccines are gold mines for Big Pharma because they reap hundreds of billions of dollars and face zero financial liability when their creations cause injury or death.

More Jabs for Kids

The childhood vaccine schedule continues to grow each passing year, with the vaccine schedule adopted by the CDC now recommending children receive 32 injections in-utero through age 2 and about 70 injections by age 18, according to Nicolas Hulscher, MPH, an epidemiologist at the McCullough Foundation.

According to the Children’s Health Defense, the childhood vaccine schedule went from 25 doses of six vaccines (up to age 15) in 1986 to 73 doses of 17 vaccines (up to age 18) in 2023.

The combination of enormous financial incentives for Big Pharma along with absolute immunity is clearly contrary to public health and the wellbeing of children and families.

Add to this the fact that insurance companies incentivize doctors administering vaccines to dose a high percentage of their patients, and the risk increases. Ever wonder why some pediatricians refuse to accept unvaccinated children as their patients? The answer is the pressure from insurance companies.

During COVID, the push for the shots was even worse because health care providers received a higher reimbursement for the COVID shots.

And when Big Pharma rolls out another vaccine, their lobbyists pressure federal and state legislators to add this new jab to the required list for children. The money begins to roll in, and Big Pharma has zero liability for injuries and deaths.

American children are not getting healthier. We must ask why. The answer is right in front of us. 

No matter how you feel about vaccines in general, or any specific vaccine, we should all agree that any company that creates a product that causes injury or death should be held accountable. This is especially true with Big Pharma. As I said, if Big Pharma creates or distributes a drug that causes harm, the company can be held accountable. But if they label their chemical concoction as a “vaccine,” they have no liability.  

No Consequences

It should concern us that the industry tasked with vaccine production faces no legal recourse or transparency, considering that in 1986, 12.8% of children in the U.S. reportedly had a chronic health condition, such as obesity, compared to around 54% of children in 2007. Interestingly, 2007 is the last year this data is available, as the federal government stopped making this information public.

Data also show that vaccinated children are 2.18 times more likely to suffer from developmental delays compared to unvaccinated children; vaccinated children are 4.49 times more likely to have asthma than unvaccinated children. On top of this, autism rates have gone from 1 in 1,000 in the 1970s to 1 in 36 in 2023, and many parents trace this directly to the day their child received a vaccination.

A grand jury in Florida investigating vaccine manufacturers and their production processes after COVID recently released its final report. The findings — revealing abuse, deception, cutting corners, and coverups — are damning.

An industry that has a lack of accountability combined with profit incentives is a recipe for abuse and exploitation. The American people deserve transparency and the ability to hold vaccine manufacturers accountable.

Accountability Is Approaching

With a Republican-led House and Senate, President Donald Trump back in the White House, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. poised to take the helm at HHS, the stage is set to repeal the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act and the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act. This would render absolute immunity for vaccine manufacturers a thing of the past.

Holding a company liable for damage caused by its product shouldn’t be partisan, political, or polarizing. End Big Pharma’s vaccine immunity and prioritize people’s health and wellbeing over profit.
