A documentary crew bankrolled by Hunter Biden’s friend and financial backer Kevin Morris has been following the first son around for “years,” according to the Los Angeles Times.

Morris, known for brokering big entertainment deals, has already helped Biden navigate his legal troubles amid an ongoing federal investigation into the embattled first son’s taxes and foreign consulting work.

He has lent Biden more than $4.9 million to pay off tax bills, legal fees, car payments, and housing costs, among other things.

News of the documentary isn’t necessarily new — in May 2022 The New York Times reported on Morris’ funding of the project, described by the news outlet as building on Biden’s memoir “while depicting the president’s son as the victim of allies of Mr. Trump.”

Biden told the Los Angeles Times he didn’t know where he would be “if not for Kevin.”

“And I don’t mean just because he has loaned me money to survive this onslaught, I mean because he has given me back my dignity. He’s been a brother to me.”

“What was in it for Kevin?” asked Biden, who lives in Malibu. “I think that you don’t truly understand or know Kevin if that’s your question.”

With Morris, Biden said, “I did not feel as if I had to explain or make excuses.”

“One of the most important things in recovery is the ability for you to be honest with yourself and to be honest with people around you. And I immediately felt a comfort level with Kevin,” said Biden.
